Hi, I am hoping some of you more technically minded can help me?
I recently bought a set of o/e mercedes alloys from a w211 model, and want to fit them to my w210 E320 estate. The problems are as follows;
The new rims need shorter bolts, which I have purchased, but when I tried the new wheels on the car, I get a knocking noise as i move forward and reverse at low speeds. also, it appears that the new wheels have wider tyres (225/55 16) as opposed to the original (215/55/16). Does anyone out there in cyberspace know if and how I can fit these wheels safely to my car. Another problem is that the W211 alloys use 14mm diameter bolts, and the W210 uses 12mm. Please help me? I'm new at the mercedes game, and I am becoming desperate. Many Thanks in advance.

Thanks Malcolm, I managed to get Elite Wheels to fit them in the end, however I now hear a noise every time I drive the car, which sounds like metal rubbing n the rear whl area. I'm having it looked at next monday.
