Help Please! C180 Automatic Problem

Only certain fault codes will put the light on the dash, I think a fault code readout will take you quickly to the root cause...

A good battery would have a standing over night voltage of 12-12.5 volt,, most cars have a running voltage of between 13.8 and 14.2 volts, depending on the state of the battery.

Starting blips are when the voltage falls too low for the ECU's to re set

Hi,

Got the gearbox problem sorted..... At the end up it turned out to be a battery problem - but still needed the computer to clear the fault???

Anyway shes motoring good and thank you for all the hints and tips
