Keith . Do you have a battery in the boot of your car? If yes can you look in there and see if you have a black box just above it ? This holds vital fuses for the start up sequence . Fuses other than these wont stop the start up. .

It's a W220. S500, 1999, V8. Yes battery in the boot, I'll check if there is anything above it.
