Hi Luigi. Your car has gone into Limp mode. It's a defensive measure to protect the car when it detects a serious fault. You'll need a code reader, preferably Star, to identify the problem. Let us know how things progress.

Hi and welcome,

As already suggested by McDonald, take it to someone who has the equipment to be able to read the fault codes. The problem could lie with a few items so better and cheaper to fix the problem without changing lots of parts in a costly guessing game.

A handy check is to see if your kickdown and/or your cruise control are also inoperative.
If they are, this will confirm what has already been suggested - limp mode.
It might be caused by something cheap and simple, that can easily be cleared by a good code reader. You need to either buy yourself one of the recommended code readers or book a STAR session with a dealer or Mercedes Indie.
Any other course will be just guessing.
