Ive got a S600 (HELL!) 1996 model.

One of the ECU units has a fault and causes the engine to misfire. there are 2 ecu units one controling each side of the engine. currently the right ecu unit is faulty. if i replace the right ecu with the working left ecu the right side of the engine works. so clearly its the right ecu unit thats faulty.

Ive been trying to search up if its a technical fault or software fault, which is it typically?

Anyone had this problem before?

How much would it typically cost..?

so far, ive replaced nearly every single part in this dam thing, think its about time to set it on fire. (joke)

A few.
Both left & right units have the same part number, 013 545 70 32, which is surprisingly pricey at the dealership!

I've got one if you're interested in a good used unit.

there was a known problem with immobilisers, with only one ecu becoming 'unlocked' each time. have a look on bezworld for more info.

this car will also have fuel injection ECUs, so possibly the ignition module pictured above is not the suspect part the OP mentions. it might even have hfm management with integrated ignition and fuel injection - DMKENZIE, does this car have distributor caps?
