I've seen loads of posts on this subject but nothing about an R171 SLK200.

I am going to France and need to find out where or how to adjust the headlights to dip the beam the right way.

Thanks for your help.

Have checked behind lights again, and located black plastic wheel with teeth around the outside which it appears can be rotated - could this be the way to adjust the dip? All other posts suggest that it would be a yellow lever?

this has nothing to do with lights but to do with you going on a long drive....
my SLK 350 from Nov 04, recently I asked my Merc dealer if they could fit a connection to the AUX input on the car audio system so I could use my iPod, but was told that it wound be much too expensive, fast forward 3 month... changing cd in the changer noticed a small hole on the left side of the glove compartment, pushed a 3,5mm jack plug into it and the other end to my iPod h/ph outlet, pressed the Aux btn. and bingo Ipod through the audio system, quality a good as cd.....is this a well know fact, am I the last to find out?

After a long search (1 hour) I have found the paper, the 171 is not on the list

the 203, 209, 230, 211, 215, 220. are shown

from what i can work out coded lamps 614 and 615 are adjustable.

Sorry cant be of more help.
