HELP-SLK200 roof not working

Some confusion has arisen. Both cars are 170 (mark one if you like) slk's, but one is pre facelift, and one post facelift. The early car has a push release with a key hole to the right side of the bootlid. This is linked by a twist bar to the latch, and the afore mentioned microswitch. The facelift car has the boot release under the lifting plinth, but again a microswitch is present, and causes an similar fault.

2001 SLK 200 Roof issue - advise much appreciated

I read your post with interest. I have a similar problem with the roof not opening properly. However, the boot opens and the pump is working. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
