It is a 1996 E230 Aventgard, 76K miles.
We have had it 3 years and it is slowly lowering itself:(

We are now having a problem pulling onto the drive without scraping. The front mudflaps are about an inch off the floor:shock:

Could I ask for guidance for what to look for, it is the wifes car - mine is a jeep that I just lifted 3 inches - not much difference:).

The measurement from wheel centre to wheel arch is 13". What should it be?

I have scanned the forums but could not find anything definative. It does knock with bumps (but some of this is mud flap catching) and I cannot see major rust on suspension or mounts.

Things are now getting really bad with speedbumps and the local council insist on making more.

Can you please help?

It can only be broken springs really, nothing eles should effect ride hight.

Does it have hydrolic self leveling suspension at the rear? i.e is it a estate. This would only effect the rear.

It's a saloon.

The front seems to have dropped gradually over time, rather than noticable over a short period.

I will have a look later to see if I can see any issues with the springs.

Check the springs at the bottom, as that is where they normally break

Springs sag over time and miles, a few inches is quite possible.
