HELP! W203 changed key-remote batteries, now wont work

Hi all, i changed the batteries in my c-class w203 2002 sports coupe keyfob, and now it wont lock/unlock the doors, i tried searching but couldnt find anything!

procedure to program them isnt in handbook

please help?

I have nothing much here for your car, there would appear to be no RF on yours just IR. before you go any further ,you can test the remote with a digital camara just point into the camara and press the button and you will see the blue/white light when fob is pressed.

Not trying to teach you to suck eggs but A/ are you sure you fitted the batteries correctly and B/ are you sure they're not flat (discharged) as they do have a limited shelf life

Normal procedure to resync for R129s is to either press the button and lock the car with the key - or press the button in position 2 when the key is in the ignition - not sure if this is the same for W203s.

funny cars 203's No RF that i can find, no re sets either,I have been through the whole range, these are the ones that have electric motors for locking.

I have been looking at 2 screens for hours, makes my eyes sore, 3 if you include the TV

I think this has been said before but the W203 definately has an RF, I know this becuse mine broke recently. Wasn't you that told me it worked through the radio amp?

I found a few different procedures, none of which appeared to work, but then this morning i went out to car and it open as normal!!!!!!?!?!??!?!

Its working just fine again, i dont really know why!
I am not complaining though!;p

I will come back to this locking thing later over the holiday.

do a search for 203 with known vin for bad radio reception and it comes up RF locking and radio poor due to bla bla bla.

go in again,´, guy cant use remote, have the exact vin, go to RF remote and it says the car does not have one, there is all of the IR info with CAN and electric motors for closing.

Threads can go badly wrong when describing one car,say a 210, and someone else jumps in and says I have one of those and mine does xxx.
With a differnt VIN it can make a hell of a difference.

I have been reading electronic diagrams since 1945 up to the present time.
Computer generated are almost impossible to follow, the word block diagram used to be worth their weight in gold, no longer,scanning a diagram i meter wide on a computer screen is impossible, you are lost at the other end, and then it says see page so and so.

I will get to the bottom of what has what over the holiday.
