Looks like a ‘frozen’ screen and some part of the software code has crashed.

Easily rectified with either a soft reset this can be done by holding the reset button for 15 seconds or failing that you could try a power cycle, this is achieved by removing power the applying power back to the unit. The easiest way would be to remove the correct fuse for the unit then replace it.

Update me with how you get on.

Sorry about that I missed that part out by accident, I know on the C class it’s the eject button. Do you have an eject button on your system?

Yes that’s the one John, try holding that down for about 15 seconds then once released it should reset the system.
Obviously make sure the ignition is on.

I think my E class , was all discs and pads £180 via ECP sales and £320 all in for MB , that allowed me to refurb all my calipers as well for under £250 ish by taking the Brembo option
Okay, try the next step of removing power all together by either removing the fuse or removing the negative lead on the battery wait 20 seconds then reconnect I’m 99% sure this will fix the issue.
If you aren’t confident with disconnecting the battery try and Book in with a local garage.
