hi all:D
i've got a 190e 1990 and have not got a manual with it.
a warning light has come on on the dash which looks like either a radiator or engine. (a square box thingy with black waves at the bottom an opening in the top and side):D ... any ideas which it is.
have checked engine oil and coolant level they're all ok.
thanks

i've checked that.
car seems to be running fine.
i did get a strong wiff of petrol today though.
i filled up yesterday and had trouble getting the cap off and back on again and did'nt tighten it up properly which i've done now but still the lights on.
i've checked the engine oil thats ok and the coolants ok.

Hi Debs,

The warning light seems to be most definitely the coolant level warning light. I had the same problem on my C200. I checked my coolant level as well and it was OK, but it was the sensor that had gone. Replaced it (you can pick them up from a breaker's or new from MB) and bingo........the light went out!

Hope this helps
