help with s600 please

I really need help.Somebody must know what my problem is. My car has been to 2 main dealers and I have phoned numerous people, without luck.
I have a S600, should be as smooth as silk. When I start the car from cold
there is a vibration through the drivers seat especially in the gearbox area.
An independant specialist says the vibration is coming from the gearbox, he
says the engine and exhaust are smooth. The vibration is when you are in park and is bad between 1800-3200 revs. If you move of it is still there. It gradually goes when hot, but I can still feel it. I have had suggestions from
engine wear, exhaust system, torque converter, the car has only 48k on the
clock so these suggestions should not happen. At times like this I wish you
could speak to merdedes direct but you can't. They might know. Does anybody have some more suggestions I can try, whilst the car drives o.k. I am worried this vibration will get worse. I have read so many articles on vibrations in cars my eyes are square, and I have repetative strain injury.

When i had a porsche 928, this sort of problem arose from excessive tension on the flex plate behind the engine (the gearbox was further back over the rear axle. There may be the equivalent between the engine and gearbox in your case. Otherwise, it sounds like the gearbox itself.
