hi,drove my e-200 in the morning {shopping trip} got home and tried locking car via remote key fob...would not lock.tried key in ignition but wheel is in lock mode and will not release.car is simply not engaging...please someone give me some advise and possibly good news....thanks

Without wishing to state the obvious, the batteries in the fob haven't expired, have they?

Have you tried jiggling the steering wheel to release pressure from the steering lock while you turn the key in the ignition?

thanks for all replies..i bought new batteries and have tried playing around with the steering...still no joy..
