Dear all,

I have a lot of condensation (water) in my wing mirror indicators.
I have taken it back to the dealer and they said they are condensation and every car has them. Funny enough that every car I saw in the court yard didn't have any water/condensation in them.

Is it an esay DIY job to remove the indicator lens and clear the water?

Is the lens assembly suppose to be water proof?

My car is a 05' S320 CDI.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Go back and ask him to show you a parking lot full of condensation affected mirrors. Or go to another dealer. BMW suffer from headlamp units misting up, and they just replace the whole unit under warranty. I would hope MB do the same for you here.

I did get one of the service managers to see it for himself. He did agree but still sticking on condesation. I might have to go to another dealer and get a second opinion.
I did check with the parts guy and he said that the lamp & lens are one sealed unit.

Some do, and some don't.
If you jetwash it and park it in the shade a lot, that can have a fair effect. There are a lot of similar complaints about the new freelander with headlamps and indicators misting. Ours had a foggy light when we got it but as they no doubt used a jetwash to clean it before the handover I thought I'd give it a few days. Within a couple of days it cleared up and hasn't returned, but then it hasn't been jetwashed since as I use a hose and brush.
