Black is a bugger of a colour.... looks like grey at the first sign of dust shows every bleeding scratch and if you get a stone chip you may as well erect a sign from meccano and bolt it to the bodywork with a dayglo arrow pointing to the crater that is there saying look at this - what a muppet

It's really nice when its clean but then some wood pigeon takes aim for 50 feet up and the next 10 mins is getting the lime off the bodywork only for him to make a second pass because he's eaten the avaian version of a vindaloo earlier in the day and needs to get something moving so leaving a machine gun like white and black turd trail across my wing and bonnet seems like a good idea to him...

Off now to a darkened room with a glass of scotch and revolver (the Beatles record just in case you were concerned)...

We have two black metallic cars now so I know exactly what you mean. They look great when just polished  It could be worse though, could be silver...

I'll get my coat ;)

I dunno whitenemesis, I quite like the metallic blue of my W210, Silver is OK because it never looks dirty, Infact my last car (Silver Astra) used to go without a wash for months because it never really looked that dirty. I admit though, My wife has a Metallic Black Meriva Design and that is a bugger to clean / Keep clean!!

Have a good day y'all

I love the look of a clean black E with the deep chrome wheels - but I wouldn't buy one. I'm too fussy and I'd never be able to keep it looking good. After 5 years with a tektite grey MB, I'm back with good old safe silver! It may be the same as everyone elses, but sometimes there's a reason for popularity!
If I had a personal car cleaner - I'd have a black one!

That must have been my wifes reason for getting a black car ;-)

I guarantee that you pass it off onto your lad, to earn his pocket money, and no he would not drop the sponge:rolleyes:

I've had him help the only issue was that the whole bottom of the car became covered in dirt as he was spraying the ground with the hosepipe.
I've just been out to look at my car in the hotel car park (as you do) and whilst it is dusty it still looks fabulous and it is only when you get close do you realise it is dusty.
