P06AF00 code popped up today no EML. I noticed the car power has decreased on the way home earlier and after a Quick Look up it says
Torque limitation or shutoff of the combustion engine has been triggered by the torque control system.
Now the there is a huge coincidence..................today I got some new tyres on the rear.
The story goes last week I ordered some new tyres 255/30/19 Yokohamas when I got to the garage they told me there the wrong size, and wouldn't put them on so they ordered some new ones which are Pirelli P zero MO 255/35/19 and they got fitted today. Is this a huge coincidence or do I need to be going back to the garage. is it because the tyres are so new they slip a bit and the car thinks its dancing on ice?

the speed I was going today I might as well have got a 220d :D:D:D:D

Yeah they are that’s why I’m confused
Rears should be 255 30 19 . It's all on your fuel flap.

It'll be messing with the torque converter in the gearbox. In correct speed sensor signal.

The previous tyres were Bridgestone and were 255/35/19? But they only had 2mm thread

If all that's changed is the tyres , it's pointing to the tyres . Get the right size on and hope it goes away.

Seems to point to the speed sensor knocking it out of kilter, because the radius is bigger the wheels are not spinning the same revolutions the cars thinks it should for the speed it’s going?

Why it's not for starters is it . Folks fit 255 35 19 cos they are easy to find and are cheaper . And add a bit more sidewall . The ratios will be all to pot , until worn I suppose. ...

Your rear is half an inch too big . Should be half an inch smaller than the front wheel.

In theory the more hammer I give the car the worse the car thinks the imbalance is. The car was ok for bout an hour. I’ll see if I can clear any codes tomorrow and see what’s what.

UPDATE went back to the garage today
They fitted 255 30 19 and the car is back to normal faster than it’s ever been :p
Hopefully error free now. Surprised it wasn't flashing errors for the previous keeper.

Iv had it a year and it’s never done that before. Perhaps the previous owner put on part worn tyres to get it sold? The tyres were on about 4mm when I bought it.
