HI all, i have a 1992 500 sel which runs fine when cold but when warm hesitates on acceleration like a giant flatspot then the power comes in all at once.I replaced a broken vacum pipe which i thought had cured the problem but it hadnt.I have tried to search the forum but keep getting "internal service error".Does this model have a maf ? The car has recently had a full service. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions:-|

Yes on the 119 engine there is 2 MAF's I believe one each side,,unplug them one at a time and try the car, they are at the rear of the engine under the air cleaner

Can you get beyond this by switching off and then on again? Does it come with lumpy gear changes?

If the answer to both of these is yes, it may well be that the current is tracking or arcing in one of the distributors. caused by condensation. Cheap and easy to fix and probably the result of not using it much, especially in cooler damper weather, like now.
