Depends on colur. I like post-facelift in neutral colours (white, black, grey etc)
8-hole alloys ruined it for me

It's neither. It's code 587 Pajett Red ((Cabernet red in US)
Not common at all - been on 190 forum a year and none on there, and google just brings up one in US and mine.

its a lovely colour, and from what i can gather after a quick google its an 80s colour at home on W123s, and R170s. it looks lovely on the 201.

You've wowed the crowds on here, that's for sure!

What's tremendous is that you've left it completely stock; what a super machine.

It's always good for a giggle to turn the radio on in a crowded street, and see the reaction as the aerial winds up on these old buses.

i had someone stare at me in supermarket car park doing the same thing. it appears some people don't remember electric aerials

So pleased with the reaction I've got- thanks guys!
It's completely stick in every way except I had the darker paint already when I refurbed wheels, and I personally like the subtle difference as its not so in your face as fresh silver paint. (was on steels with trims when I got it)
Also fitted nice Alpine Bluetooth radio and new speakers (have kept the Blaupunkt cassette player as it's still working fine)
Electric aerial wasn't working when I got the car,but all perfect now.
Only non-original thing is sill colur- only corrosion ever in car was rear jacking points. Been repaired, but paint didn't match, and I liked it black,so Hammerite will protect it better for the future.its been a labour of love slowly getting it better over the last year.

I love it stock,or as I call it - as an old man's car! (especially the colur scheme!)
My daily is a 1990 MX5 with performance mods etc,so I have no desire whatsoever to mess with the Benz. I love it how it is.

That really is terrific; well done again - the interior is as good and original as the exterior.
This is what you want you see; with an old vehicle you want to be transported back in time, which is quite a surreal experience. Only an unmolested copy can do this.
