Will 255/45/18 fit a w212 saloon 2.1 auto deisel
Whats on now is 245/45/17 The bigger wheels a think are original Mercedes wheels but can't say for sure

That changed the circumference, because the 45 tyre depth shouldn’t be the same if the wheels are an inch bigger .

Tyre and wheel sizes are on the fuel flap sand dancer.

it makes 3,5mm bigger diameter. Should fit, check how much there is space in current wheel. And check correct ET for rim if its wider.

Thanks for the reply my taptalk hasn't been working properly.
On the fuel filler flap it states that a can go up to a 19" wheel but nothing on the 255 size it only states 245 that's why am not sure if these wheels will fit

Go by the flap. It only lists whats suitable.

So if it states that a can put even bigger wheels on a should be fine with putting these wheels on ?.

As long as the size and ET match the ones listed in the book then they'll fit. What they'll drive like and how long before they crack is another thing entirely

How far the wheel sits in or out from the hub - so it's not too close in and rubs against the suspension or too far out and isn't inside the wheel arch.

No. E class wheels don't fit a C class , Cls wheels won't fit an A class . The et of my wheels is 44 . Some c class wheels are as high as 54 . You can't just hoy anything on ,because they are from a mercedes model.
