Hi folks! Im the prowd new owner of an old 190E 1.8. He (yep, decided hes a 'he') was a bit scruffy and smelly (smokers, WHY!!!!) but a couple of hours with a rug doctor sorted most of that out. And it turns out that I paid a damn good price for him too! Car auctions are like a box of chocolates........
Anyway, my first question: Structuraly, the drivers seat has seen better days. Obviously I can do a like for like swap, but are there any better seats from other models I could fit instead. E.g. I put Granada seats in my last Sierra, great improvement. Can I do the same trick here?
Secondly, are there any points on these cars that I need to keep an eye on? Weaknesses, parts that realy need religious servicing etc.
