Hi I am new and Need some help

Hi my name is karen...and I just moved to Michigan...I own a Mercedes 190E 1991. The weather is turning really cold, and a light on my dash came on...it is a circle on the left hand side. I went to my trunk for my owners manual... and it was gone!!! I live in a small town in a american owned vehicle area :roll: Can anyone tell me what the symbol means??? I need to figure out what's wrong........I have searched everywhere on line to see what the symbols on the dash mean but to no avail.......can someone help!!!

Hi there The lights on your dashboard left hand side are.
Starting from left=[Main beam]=[battery]=[brake pads low]=[brake fluid lowxparking brake light]=[coolant level] The only other round light is on the right hand side this is an asb warning light..........Hope this helps.

Hi Karen,

welcome !!

by the sounds of things the light may be your 'brake pad low' warning light.

if it is a yellow / orange light which looks like a broken circle within a circle, then it will most certainly be the low brake pad warning which is nothing to worry about just yet...it would be worth getting a garage to check it for you, either that or your brake fluid is running a little low.

I'm not sure where the brake fluid reservoir is as you can check that very easily by simply opening the bonnet / hood and looking at the fluid level, so again ask you local garage to check.

If you need your brake pads need to be replaced this should not be too costly.

What colour is the light? the red one is either handbrake on or low brake fluid the one light does both. the amber coloured one is the front brake pad wear indicator
