I am looking for a new car, well a change, i have a MG ZR at the moment and when i bought it new was great when i was 19, but now i am 21 i want something abit more comfortable. So i am looking for a C220 Coupe, anyone got one round here?

What are they like to own, and is insurance high on them?

My mum has a CLK which i love driving, its the CLK 230 Kompressor so pretty nippy, but i dont want petrol as i prefer diesel cars!

I test drove a C220 coupe yet it was manual and i hated the gear box and clutch so will be looking for an auto with the tiptronic gears on it, would anyone say no thats a bad idea on this?

Is there anyone in the loughborough area in leicestershire?

£15k at 21 - I was still in the realm of the £1500 motor in those days. Its a shame in some ways as there's a lot of fun to be had putting a tatty motor back together.
I'm tempted to drop into a Monty Python sketch now I'll stop now.

And no I wasn't too hard done to. If I couldn't get the escort back together the old man would take pity and lend me his new S class! (odd how often that happened!)

15k is my max by far!

i am a hard worker, had upto 4 jobs befoe when i was at school, love earning money, got my own place as well with a mortgage, just like being in control with goals and targets!

i have done the car fixing stage, i had a subaru justy 1.2 for my first car that was awesome, also had an escort estate i had afiddle with then the freelander i got bored with but the mg's have been good fun, with various mg groups floating around!

would you say then a C220 is a good car then? i am looking for a panarma as well, any problems with them?

I'm just about to feed Jberks a line

about licking my car clean, but I won't. We have a C280 and a 500 SL.
At 21 I was still on an 8yr old VW Variant (£600) . At 24 though I had a 3year old BMW 318is. The rest is history.

Lots of Mercs have a few problems, a few Mercs have a lot of problems, some have a load of problems, but few have all the problems, is probably a fair guess.
