Has any A class owner had their rear air vents replaced (due to water ingress in footwell) then discovered the problem is still there? Took it back to my garage and they say the replaced vent seals are dry but they ‘think’ the water ’may’ be coming in at the front and that the dashboard seals are damaged (they want a further £1500 to repair this) . I asked them to send me a photo of the damaged seal (the car has been with them a week today) they said they couldn’t do that because they couldn’t get to it? I then said how do you know it is damaged - reply was because it’s dripping so I have asked for a photo of the drip. I don’t believe it’s coming from the front (I may be wrong) I think that it could be a build up of condensation from the windscreen (due to the amount of water in the car from the rear vent problem) that has collected somewhere under the dashboard. The reason I think this is because on many days depending on the weather trying to remove the condensation inside my car resulted in water dripping badly in the dashboard - in the end I had to keep a towel in the car to lay on the dashboard to soak up the drips. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you
