So I know this is common and Merc probably won't do it foc, does anybody have an oem pt # for my cars nox sensor, so I can buy one without Merc pulling my pants down in the process. I too was quoted £168 for a diagnostic check, even after I told them what the issue was.

Have you had the codes read. How do you know its the NOx sensor.

EML could be triggered much more simpler

I’d go to a Mercedes independent to have them done , in fact they will use original parts and the warranty should remain intact anyway.

Ask mb when the warranty is up.

Whats the mileage , is it using ad blue ? Has it had the emissions software update to cover up mercedes lies ??

If it’s been serviced by Mercedes it will have had the software updated...

Theres a site you put reg in and it tells you . Mb have been doing good will gestures on nox sensors . 73k in 3 years maybe out of this offer tbh.

If the car has a FMBSH I’d take it to the dealer as it’s just out of warranty and ask for a goodwill gesture from them, Nox sensors should be good for at least 100k+ miles - MB have been plagued with faulty sensors lately especially the ADBLUE cars

If the car has a FMBSH I’d take it to the dealer as it’s just out of warranty and ask for a goodwill gesture from them, Nox sensors should be good for at least 100k+ miles - MB have been plagued with faulty sensors lately especially the ADBLUE cars

9 months is hardly just out of warranty. They didnt entertain me 3 months out. Full mb service might be a saviour

Hi I have an e220d 2016 I have bought the car last year MB approved used out of warranty now by 4 months I ’m having the same issue the EML on dash contacted local garage and diagnostics shows NOX sensor.Contacted MB dealer lakeside they said diagnostics will cost £178 my questions is will they cover the cost of the repair FOC or do I need to pay for it any info will be very helpful as I’m really stressed out due to the situation we are all in at the moment that I did get the service done from MB two months a go also I think previous owner did the same.
