I recently acquired a merc ml 270 everything seems fine but totally stalling up a hill and overtaking, it recently had some exaust system leaks that were sealed but one is still loosing slightly air, could this cause the lack of power?

As Post# 2, possibly a mass airflow sensor (MAF) fault.
Really needs the main dealer or someone with Star (Mercedes fault finding equipment) to diagnose the problem.
