Hi my name is Simon, I have 2 ML s and 1 SLK so i need lots of help often

Presently a front diff on one ml is noisy with bronze in the oil . Any help is appreciated.
Presently contemplating fitting a used diff in its place..I've been told to fill with 750 ml oil instead of the regular 500 ml ..as this causes the brgs to fail

put fresh oil in and see if that sorts the noise out ? What mileage is it on ?

Bronze will be a bushing disintegrating - which will also account for the noise.
continued use, even with fresh oil will not stop further deterioration, nor the eventual failure. It may be cheaper in the long run to either :-

Strip it down and rebuild.
Source a good s/h unit from a breakers like Dronsfield. Ensure you get exactly the same ratio.
