Welcome! Inside the gearbox, on yours (7speed) repair is easier, replacment from MB Is £££ and is vin coded. Gives you the opportunity to replace the oil

I think it can be done with the box still in the car if it is anything like the 5peeed trans. Just drain the fluid and remove the sump pan and the rest is fairly accessible

Both versions box stays in the car.

All sump bolts are one time use, as are the valve body bolts.

We would charge around £650 all inc, and do the speed sensor repair in house. That includes a gearbox oil service/filter/vat etc
