Hi. Just wondering if anyone could help me with an issue i have with my 2001 mercedes cl500 amg????? When i first purchased the car i noticed the central locking was very xlow to lock and unlock..... this morning the car would not unlock at all until i manapged to unlock it via the key.... problem now is the windows automatically went down fully and i can only get the passenger one to go back up via the button inside but then as soon as you open the door it rolls straight back down again and the drivers side window wont work at all. So the central locking does not work at all and the 2 front windows have stopped working all in the space of 18 hours, the car says it has no malfunctions but clearly has.... im guessing the central lock is not working because the pse pump is knackered???? Any information/knowledge would be very much appreciated. Cheers Lee.

When you're reading codes what are you using? If it's not something designed for MB cars it won't find anything other than engine codes.

The pump is a possibility for the central locking. Have you also ruled out a fob issue by trying to actuate the central locking by using the lock/unlock switch inside the car?
The pump may be okay and instead you have a leak in the system. Any circuit that takes too long to operate will be disabled, you can check this by resetting the pump - from memory the fuse for the pump is a big yellow one (20A?) in the fuse box hidden behind some trim in the right, rear passenger footwell. The pump itself is under the rear seat on the same side.
A weakness of these cars is the wiring in the concertina pipe joining the door to the car, it gets folded each time the door is closed. The vacuum pipe for the central locking is also located within it.
I think that the window drop & pop is triggered by micro switches in the door locks. If the door isn't registered as closed then the windows wont pop back up.
I take it that the soft close doesn't work either. This is often a diaphragm in the lock itself that splits - again its vacuum driven.
