I'm trying to keep it on a top... Just a few things left to do. Change fuel rail regulator,

windscreen

crack, done by miself (thick).. Been touching a chip from inside on a windscreen, though, what happens if I'll punch it slightly... Here is a result...) but the crack located in sector b, not visible for a driver because of rear view mirror. . Not see it, not bothered))

Welcome to the forum.

Keep an eye on the crack on your windscreen. One stone thrown up from the car in front and it could shatter.

Luckily all screens are laminated now but I've had the pleasure of a windscreen being blown inwards and a very cold drive home.
If the crack gets any bigger, use your insurance windscreen cover to get it replaced.

Id be inclined to get the gracked winscreen seen to ASAP, if its a chip, it can be repaired, if cracked, then going over a bump could shatter it in a second.

How did you get a chip on the inside of the screen,

Insurance companies repair chips for free, as its as good as new and cheaper for them than paying out on a whole new screen. If you get a new screen demand MB Original and there will probably need some coding done for the rain/light sensors if present near the RVM.

Good work keeping the car going, some nice progress there!

Welcome.
If no documentary evidence change the serpentine belt tension pulley.
Can let go without warning causing more problems.

...
No it won't .... windscreens have been laminated for years.
The crack might very well grow but it won't shatter like a toughened screen of the past would .... side windows & rear screen are still toughened.

Hi.
and
Happy New Year .

Chip on a screen from outside obviously, may be I was wrongly described the situation :)

My car insurance (now with A*i*a.).. they charge around 30£ for a chip repair, so I think to add 75% of price and have whole screen brand new installed is better solution (depends on quality of course ), as I have never driven brand new cars with brand new screen previously with no little scratches caused by windscreen blades for years, dust, sand, dirt etc...

Coding required only when glass have different layout of the sensor connection place as soon as I aware.

Not sure of the insurance will replace a screen for a chip. Thats why they offer 30 pounds repair on a chip.

Ensure you get a genuine MB screen. More often than not the rain, light sensors other side of rear view mirror need recoding/ calibrating.

Not a chance a new screen for 120 notes based on your theory. But do let us know.
