Hi what type of Mercedes is this? & boot lock question

Hi,

This is my Dads car. The boot wont close (had to tape it down)!

Lock mech seems broken. Want to get one from eBay but need make sure I buy right one

It is a pre face lift W203. If you check the VIN number, either on the label on the drivers door jam or through the lower part of the passenger side of the front windscreen, it will give you the VIN which should start with WDB203*****

The item is from a W203 coupe, not a 4 door saloon with boot, but a hatchback. May be the same but easiest way to tell would be to remove your current lock and check the part number on that against the part number the seller has 'enhanced' with purple marker pen. seeing as you are going to need to remove old mechansim that's what I would do. That way you would know for sure. I can't easily check against my 203 as I have the estate S203 version.
