Hi can anyone help?
I have an 1998 C180 saloon auto.
The high level brake light has started to flash on and off when the brake pedal is pressed, the other brake lights are fine. I stopped the car for afew hours and it was ok for a minute or so then back flashing again.
Any help would be most welcome.
Cheers Nick.

Hi Anyweb
Yes I looked at all that. The whole thing has stopped working alltogether, I think it may be the unit that has packed in. I will try giving it a good clean and see what that does.
Cheers Nick

Could you not just connect it directly to the or a battery and see if it lights up

Hi Malcolm
Gave that a try, does not work. It must be the LED unit. Will price a new one, or may go for an after market one.
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers Nick.

If it is LED then it is polarity conscious when you test

Hi Malcolm
Sorry I took so long to get back to you, my computer is playing up. I tried both ways to no avail.
Thanks again Nick

If you can get it to pieces then it is possible to replace the faulty LED
