Highest Profile Tyres

I have a 2010 Eclass 350 Spt Blueefficiency Cabriolet. Front tyres are225/40 R18 Rears 255/35 R18.
What is the highest profile i can go on these tyre?

Fit smaller rims. Check the gap between the front rim and caliper to give you some idea of how much smaller rims you can fit.
I changed from 17 to 16 inch on my CLK, not much difference in ride, tyres much cheaper and last longer

I had 17in rims on my 2010 C207 Coupe so they might fit yours but be careful because the Soort came with 18in wheels and may have larger brakes! I don’t think these models ever came with 16in rims.

and if you change it from supplied spec you have to advise your insurance company as well - it's a modification

The front tyres should be 235/40 R18.

Easiest way is to drop to 17" wheels with 235/45 R17 front and 255/40 R17 rear tyres on

I have the same car 16" won't fit because of the callipers.
I have the standard 18" on summer tyres & 17" 245/45's all around on winter tyres.
A much nicer ride on the 17", & cheaper tyres.
We have the same set up on the wife's SLC250d.

Have a look inside your fuel cap and see if 16" alloys are mentioned there. I have a 2011 E350 cdi which is fine with 16's.

Wheelbase lists a 16 inch rim , so yes they are available to fit
