Hello all, hope you having a nice weekend.

Quick question. We have been having some pretty heavy rain up here in Scotland (although I hear it is pretty much all over the place) and as I left the house the other morning in my CLK cabriolet, I got to the bottom of the hill and about 4 pints of rainwater poured out from under the dashboard on the passenger side (luckily:D ).
It constinued dripping as I drove along. It has never done this before. Now the car is all misted up and carpet is wet. It seemed to come from the small holes under the glovebox and also the side of the dash next to the door. It was like a waterfall.

Any ideas what it is? I am guessing something to do with the drains at the bottom of the windscreen but they dont look blocked. ?????

I would put the bonnet into the fully open position and clean out all the drain holes at the bottom of the bonnet. You may have to remove the plastic cover to get to them.

Sadly this weather is not kind to our type of car, normal rain,no problem.
You should check the air filter box for the heater as well, this also has drain holes in it.

Thankfully my car is a lot drier than my house...

Remove the carpet on the NSF. The foam underneath is about 4" thick & holds loads of water. Right next to this, on the NSF sill area, is the interior CAN data line. If this gets too wet, it'll cause you all soughts of problems.
