I think the AA will see lots more people as the citi crumbles! No end of finance and related jobs to go, insurance as well, so AA sounds like the safest place to be, after youve had a skinful that is ... get your insurance now, good chance it will go up as the insurance companies get hit for more credit default swap calls!

I use liverpool victoria visa card for most purchases. Points are awarded for all spend and are redeemable at several different outlets including liverpool victoria insurance. LV home ins quotes seem quite competitive but with around £70 -100
discount (buy all my fuel on card) there is no competition.

No! No! No! Comparison websites runs a check on your credit history - for EVERY Insurance company. And it shows up.!!!!

Not particularly good if you intend to take credit - loan/car finance/mortgage (whats one of them.!?) etc etc.

We use Norwich Union direct. Not had any claims so can't comment how good they in that event but found them very competitive and easy to deal with.

Refuse to use AA again after they messed up my car insurance.
