Hi guys i know this is a repeat problem but i thought i would shed fresh eyes on it and I know Television is an expert in this field.

Problem:

Electric operation to remove hard top didn't work. It just gave me flashing warning. I also notice the roll bar wasn't working.

I took the hard top off hoping it would reset any sensors as it has done in the past. I put up the soft top whilst i was there and clipped into place all fine. but still no roll bar or electric operation - just warning flashes.

Putting the hard top back on it would not clip down at the rear like the soft top does. I know the opperation well and the clips we open and ready for the manual clamp down proceedure. They just don't clip in properly.

Anyway, i feel this is besides the point as if the electric roll bar was working then the electric operation might start up again?

Am i correct and any ideas on while the roll bar decided to stop working?

Thanks

Tim

A little update...

I now have the hard top on properly with a little bit of action on the manual clamp down and a bit of downward pressure on the roof itself from a friend.

Ok so now its just the Rollbar preventing the soft-top control unit from working maybe. I checked all the fuses which are ok and the 4th fude which controls the roll bar + electric seats appears fine especially. The electric seats are fine also.

The problem should be with one of the switches that activate the roll bar and that sits on the rear axle

Would you confirm that your car is a 129061

and please PM me with your Email address.

The last one of these I got the guy to disconnect the battery for 10 mins and re connect and it all worked fine.

The windows need to be re set and the roll bar by holding the switches in the up mode after the windows have closed for 10 sec with the key in the same with the roll bar

I've disconnected the battery but hasn't brought the roll bar back to life. Can you recommend what else I can try. You mentioned something about the sonsors on the axle?
