Reminds of me of 2 things:
1) those people that used to (before everything got packaged) help themselves to grapes etc in the supermarket and eat them while shopping
2) had a friend that used to go with his kids to Costco early on a Saturday and fill up on food samples to save 1 meal a week....he was one of those guys that always tried to avoid buying his round in the pub, would guzzle my booze but was BYO when going to his place......we are no longer friends.
