horns

The horn on mc c180 has stopped working, I have checked both fuseboxs but cannot locate a fuse for the horn can anyone help..........:confused:

First thing to do is to check if the 12 volts are getting to the horn when the button is pressed, you could use a 12volt lamp to test.

if 12v is getting to the horn,then the horn is faulty. if it is possible to open it up maybe you can clean the contacts, other than that a horn from any car from a breakers would do.

Give the horn a whack with a hammer. Often makes it work again.

by process of elimination i have found that fuse number 40 and 41 in the engine compartment fusebox relate to the horn...these are listed as FANFARE and not horn in the list of fuses............VERY CONFUSING

by process of elimination i have found that fuse number 40 and 41 in the engine compartment fusebox relate to the horn...these are listed as FANFARE and not horn in the list of fuses............VERY CONFUSING

Depends on how old you are, fanfare has been the name where two horns are fitted since I was born,and that was a long time ago. :cool:
