Hot Air only

Evening folks. My recently acquired 2014 SLK R172 only seems to be blowing extremely hot air from the climate control system regardless of the temp setting on the dial. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks

As in a CH boiler, have you tried turning the temp setting dial all the way to zero then back up to the required temp..

If it is like my Eclass there is a valve that lets the hot water through and can stick. The heater valve control is in the engine compartment, mine near the firewall drivers side. I did buy a new one with the intention of changing it, but after a few taps with the plastic handle of a screwdriver, it released and has not stuck again. Maybe you car has one. Photo below.
