Hi All,

Just a quick update on my hot start issues (300ce '88' - 139k miles)
the usual start with 10 minutes, ok, anytime greater than that, it stutters to smooth idle.
I recently checked out the plumbing around the fuel pumps/ filter /accumulator, and it appeared that one of the claps on the rubber piper leading to the accumulator was not tightening fully. It seems as though the clip within had been overstretched.
so i went down to the local decorators shop, picked up a small jubille clip, and replaced, and to my amazement, no more issues!!! seems like that the broken clip caused loss of pressure, and therefore vapourisation.
Also its cured by rought idle! dont know how, or why, but i'll take it!
just goes to show you, before you even think about replacing big expensive parts, check every all the small things first! all cured for 59p!

Thanks,

BB
