What good news, owners can hire those things for a few pounds, sadly diesels are not my line, maybe I should go to some course on it.

Yes that was a leak off test, measuring the amount of diesel leaking through the injector, when under starting pressure approx 150 bar!

Like your style star.

Just out of interest (as i have a leaky pipe from the fuel filter to the lift pump/shut off valve; not sure which it is) your link mentions the leak off test without the filling vessels saying look out for one with more spurt than the rest (not your words but you know what i mean).

When i perform this test three of the injectors on my 208d have a healthy and equal looking spurt but one is considerably less. A problem with that injector i am guessing. Would i be right or could it be something to do with the leak?

I will find out soon enough as new pipe is on order and will be fitted in a couple of days but your opinion would be appreciated.

Thanks, just playing. Unfortunately we dont do vans, V classes and smarts, so cant really offer any advise as i've never seen under the bonnet on either.
