How can I know which was the original paint colour?

I have a 1973 350SL with the chassis number 107 043 22 005768. Is there a way of knowing which colour it was originally painted? I do not have the data card.

Any help will be appreciated.

There should be a plate on the bonnet landing / locking panel with the paint code on it, has the car been repainted? or are u just trying to source its colour

The car had been repainted and I am thinking of restoring it back to its original colour. Can you please let me know how to look at the colour code under the bonnet? There are two separate plates - one with the chassis number on it and the other one has a few sets of number which don't mean much to me.
