I have a 94 280E estate. One of the front loudspeakers in the dashboard is playing up, cutting in and out - sounds like a loose connector. Simple question is - how do I get at it ? From above (remove speaker cover ???) From below ? (it's driver's side)

Any help appreciated !!

hi jason
if you remove the plastic edge trim from the grille then remove the grille you can then remove the speaker from above. its a bit awkward though ;-)

Intermittent speakers

Intermittent speakers normally means broken tinsel leads to the speaker & a new speaker required

You can get them from a dealer or get an aftermarket part from MAC Audio and a couple of other manufacturers. They're a non-standard size (120 mm) so a dealer may be your best bet
