Hi my car was stolen but recovered after sometime. The only problem was the theiving toe rags made a mess of the bulkhead to hide the original chasis number stamped there, its an R170 SLK. I have managed to get the stickers from MB which have the chasis number, which fit inside the doors, but getting someone to stamp the chasis back into the bulkhead seems difficult, despite it all being legitimate. Any ideas??

I just bought an SL from a private seller who had a set of stamps - they don't seem to be very hard to get. He uses them to reinstate the chassis number on the new front slam panels for damaged R107's (his hobby). The set included the Merc logo stamp.
Maybe an accident repair workshop would have a set for doing the same thing?

Sorry dont know anyone in the business or wish to. This is a legitimate car (from a mercedes dealer) it just seems difficult to find anyone who can do it. Mercedes have supplied the new chassis stickers for the doors.
