How do I install a combination switch on a 1989 Mercedes 190d with an airbag?

I have a 1989 Mercedes 190d with an airbag. How do I install a combination switch that controls the windshield wiper? How do I get the steering wheel off?

Not sure as the to the relevancy ofthe airbag with a windshield wiper stalk.

I assume you want to remove the airbag to remove the steering wheel so you can replace the wiper/indicator stalk.
