How do I remove the door trims on my w124? they seem to be very well secured, yet rattle like mad, the arm rests are a little loose.  any ideas?

Thanks

Its quite easy when you know how  :)

OK, pop off the plastic door release cover, and you will see a 10mm bolt undo this bolt and slide out the door release towards the front of the car and disconnect it from the cable.

Next step is to unscrew and remove the small black plastic cover near the door slam and also the triangle shaped bit near the mirror.

Once these are removed the whole panel can be removed by lifting it in an upwards direction - do not try to 'pop' it out sideways like on most cars. This can be a little sticky and you will usually find that the bit around the top strip near the window rubber is where it is catching. I found the best method is to wiggle it in an upwards direction and it will work itself free pretty quick.

Obviously replacement is the reverse of removal.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.
It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be lots of little plastic clips, that usually break as on my A,class.

Guess they don't build them like they used to..
