How do I replace LED's in E Class Door Mirror?

The door mirror indicator is not working on my 2004 E Class, they are LED's, how do I replace them?

check the wiring 1st as it tends to break when the mirror is folded.

LED's are extremely reliable. More likely to be a wiring issue, as said above..

Removing the casing

I cannot figure out how to remove the mirror casing, the forum says there is a silver metal clip inside the casing which needs to be released with the mirror closed, but I can't see it, any clues please?
