How do I see remaining fuel amount and how many miles I can drive before empty ?

Press the info button top left of the steering wheel then scroll through the menus. It will show an estimate of mile remaining although that very much depends upon throttle and brake usage. Once it thinks it needs filling up it switches to a picture of the car with a fuel pump.

It helps if you be a bit more descriptive on which E-Class you have as they been making them for nearly 30 years and the dash info and how you access it has changed quite a bit in the intervening years…

Oh yeah stupid me forgot to say what car it is , 2012 e350 cdi . I have managed already to get it on this screen so is that it ?

I have seen the remaining range display go up as well as down while driving, so I would only use it as a rough indication of the fuel level.

However, there is a hidden menu that shows you how many gallons (or litres) are in the tank. It does require programming through the OBD2 port, but it's relatively simple if you have the tools (or know someone who does):

I've also noticed the analogue gauge lines up quite well with the display, it's somewhat useful if you know the tank capacity. I wouldn't be surprised if it was computer controlled rather than truly analogue.
The manual should also mention the fuel level at which the reserve fuel warning comes on - might be worth looking it up.

Of course it can rise. eg you set off in the morning when it's cold with 10 galls in the tank, your car is still on 'choke' & doing 25mpg .... 250 miles left in the tank. The engine gets warm, comes off 'choke' & is now doing 35 mpg because you're doing a steady sensible speed on the motorway .... there is now 350 miles left in the tank (apart from the miles it took to get warm)

Take a note of speedo when reserve light comes on. When u come to halt that was reserve to empty.!! Take note of miles indicated Best avoided.
