I think that I have a leak at the joint on this pipe. See photo. How is the pipe separated from the joint? Is there anything around this area that the leak can be from?

You say you think it leaks and asks if it can leak so a bit confusing.

Is there a leak there or some fluid. Looks dry in the pic.

No I actually said. I think that I have a leak at the joint on this pipe. Which means that I have a leak and I think that it comes from this joint and then go on to ask if there is anything in that area that the leak can be from, because I know there is a vacuum leak there, but not sure if it is from that joint.
So nowhere do I ask if it can leak.

As the title. How do you remove this pipe? Simple really. The rest is just background.

It looks like a push fit but I won't guarantee it...
I also suspect it's a vacuum pipe so could well be the source of any vacuum leak.

No it does not just pull off and not that easy to see how it fits. There is a vacuum leak in that area, because you can hear it, but cannot get close enough to it, so it could be coming from something near there.

if its a liquid pipe and it leaks, is there any liquid, if an air pipe, usually just pushing it down while its hissing or whatever it does may well confirm if thats the culprit....

there is definately some liquid on the coolant pipe, RHS of pic to the left of the yellow dipstick

If you look closely you’ll see it has two small tags opposite each other. Squeeze the tags together as you push it slightly further on, then pull it straight off
Thank you I will try that.

Thank you for that. The plastic is hard and will not press. I went into Mercedes, Aylesbury today to ask them and they would not tell me, which was helpful. Their parts dept is really good, but service is pitiful. So still cannot remove it.

It's a vac line and that is how it comes off. The tabs do not move that much.

Friction fit in a rubber seal in the brake booster. Be careful not to snap it.
