Dragon, your Scorpion alarm does not show on the EPC anymore, if it ever indeed appearred on it. I believe they were classed accessories and as such are not available from MB anymore, though if you were to quote a specific pt. no. of the item they might have 1 or 2 still left in stock (long shot but worth a go).

I already had in Feb this year, I was told by my local dealer it not repairable anymore as Scorpion got bust. Just wondering how this system works. With 300 parts and it keep changing every few months no wonder it malfunctioned.

I did further research, mine was an MBSS 2a which was put in all models between Dec 96 and July 97. Then there is the MBSS 2b and finally MBSS 3. Prior to that is the MBSS.

I got this info not from MB but Thatcham, if anyone interested PM me.

Totally gave up.

Scorpion went bust and where then brought back on the market by Toad. Very slim chance of getting spares for something that old.

I have see 20 years old merc and they still have parts for it.

Didn't Merc fulfilled 30 years warranty?

The current Scorpion company can, i believe repair these old alarm systems, and are very helpful from the reports i have heard.
There is a link to the web site somewhere on the forum.
Pre-facelift w202 never had a 30 year warranty, besides that was for the bodywork i believe.

I emailed them two years, they denied liability. I know where they are located somewhere in Lancashire near Manchester.
