I have finally purchased a replacement electric mirror control unit (with window switches etc) and now have to remove the old and insert the new. Easier said than done thanks to the usual problem of a lack of a manual. Can anyone let me know how to remove the centre console so that I can put this unit in.

This job has been waiting for quite a while to be done and I was reasonably suprised after reading some of the horror stories in the forum of the cost of a replacement. Less than ninety pounds when I was anticipating it being at least forty pounds more.

Are the cd/dvd manuals up for grabs on E bay of any use? As I have the E200 and an older one it looks like they do not cover my car.

Problem sorted with thanks. I was not aware of that website and the job took five minutes, no doubt saving quite a bit. Next job the air con dealt with elsewhere, and there is always the rust.

Thanks again for the help.
